Judge dismisses ticket for running red light caught on video-statute deemed unconstitutional
Pasco County Judge Ann Wansboro dismissed a citation and ruled last month that the use of red light cameras places the burden of proof on the driver and therefore does not afford the driver his/her due process and is unconstitutional. Her ruling came after Thomas Filippone received a citation for running a red light and filed a motion to dismiss. City of Port Richey officials plan to appeal the decision. If you have received a citation for failing to stop at a red light, the attorneys at the Madonna Law Group are available to defend your case in court.
